assignment 2

I have two younger siblings. My brother is 18 years old and my sister is 11. I have always stood out among my siblings as the academically advanced child. I have always had an extreme determination and drive to succeed in school. My brother and my sister both have difficulties in school, especially in the subjects of reading, math, and vocabulary. My brother has always stood out as being more athletically involved. I played soccer for six years, but quickly gave up on athletics after breaking my ankle. My brother, on the other hand, spends the majority of his free time working out, or playing sports with friends. In fact, three of the classes he took his senior year of high school were athletically involved classes. My sister spends most of her free time playing games on the internet, watching television, or doing crafts. She has never been highly active. Unlike my brother and I, she has always been overweight for her age. There is no doubt that she over-eats, but I believe that technology should carry some of the blame. Instead of being active and playing outside with friends, she would rather play inside on the internet. My sister does share a passion for the arts with me. However, her artistic inclination comes into play with art projects, where as I am more musically inclined. I have been singing ever since I can remember, I've played the flute since sixth grade, and I am currently learning to play the piano. My brother dabbled with the trumpet, but quickly gave up because he found it boring. I get along with both of my siblings, but my brother and my sister fight like two year olds. I find that I am more peaceful, whereas they are much more aggressive. As far as appearances are concerned, I have already mentioned that my brother and I are more fit than my sister. We are also much taller than my sister will ever be. My sister and I share the same rounded face shape, whereas my brother has a leaner face. All three of us have brown eyes, although the shades differ. People often do not realize that my brother and I are siblings until we stand next to one another for comparison purposes, whereas my sister is unmistakably recognized as my sibling. We all differ in our own ways, but those differences shape who we are and who we will become.

maybe some of the difference in interest is age related? maybe you and your brother are close to the same age so you share the same interest in sports?
