Assignment 7

For me I had a hard time learning to write my full name. My name is very long and for a child just learning letters and trying to put them together I found it extremely difficult. I would always ask for help which my mom always-helped (guided participation). She always was there and would work with me and work with me until I felt like I accomplished what I needed to. She was always really supportive and showed me how to do it. She always told me not to worry we would do it until I felt comfortable with it. It was always so frustrating for me because all the other kids had short names that they had no problems writing out. With enough practice and guided participation I finally learned it on my own and was able to do it without thinking (zone of proximal development).

I also had difficulty writing my name as a child (my name is extremely long as well). However, with plenty of guided practice and motivation provided by my mother, I was eventually able to master it on my own. Coincidentally, in my early twenties, I now I simply go by Sam.

i could see how your name could be something hard to learn or get down if it was long and also considering that at the age you learn to write your name you had just learned abc's and how to put them all in order. my name is pretty big to so i understand and had trouble with it to, but the rifing things with two wheels was my biggest trouble and fear.

I also had a hard time writing my name, but I had a hard time wirting my name in cursive. Cursive was not a natural thing for me and was very difficult. But I used the same technique to learn to write my name as I did to write it with cursive. I used to be able to write in cursive but sad to say that I have lost that ability and is now as sloppy as when I first started to learn.
