child psych-piaget
The implications of piagets theory of the sensorymotor stage on parenting are that children develop at roughly the same rate biologically, regardless of what parents might try to do to speed up the development of a child. For teachers, they could assume that most children are at about the same level regardless of what their parents or family members might have done to alter it (although I don't personally agree). Researchers might be concerned because parents are giving their children too much stimulation for really no reason.

I agree with what Piaget says. It is more nature than nurture.
I also agree the researchers might be concerned because of the fact that many parents are giving their children too much stimulation for no reason
This is very true. because if the parnets do push them to move faster or develop faster it wont help them that much because it all depends on their body and when its ready. it basically deals with nurture and also nature of the child.
I also agree that parents should not push them to move faster because I agree the body will be ready to move on when it is ready!
I like what you had to say about teachers. I believe that teachers think that every child is on the same level, so they teach to one type of learner that are on the same level. What about the kids who are being taught at a 2nd grade level who should be in a 5th grade class room? Or vise versa what about the child in the 2nd grade class room who should really still be in 1st grade? How do you balance that? How do you make sure that each child is still being stiumlated but not over stimulated?
