Assignment 6

I believe if I had limited funds, I would choose to support the primary prevention. The primary prevention overall is structured to make injuries less likely. If we made situations less likely and focused more on the primary it would reduce everyone’s chances of injury making Secondary prevention and Tertiary prevention less of a need. If we could focus on putting our money on primary and reducing those chances the likelihood would be less Secondary and Tertiary prevention that would be needed. I understand the importance of all three but I feel there would be less people affected if Primary prevention was receiving more attention.

Although we have differing opinions I do agree with your point of view. I am curious, though, to know what your thoughts and ideas are or would be concerning more funding towards Primary Prevention. Obviously more funding would enquire alterations to current Primary Prevention methods.

I also chose primary prevention, agree that if we prevent maltreatment it would eliminate much of the need for secondary and tertiary prevention programs.

I agree with you all the way because i think primary should be the one being focused on also, and then that would makes things less likely to happen. but also they do need the others but if we focused on this one first they wouldnt be needed as much and much attention.

I also agree with your choice to focus on primary prevention. If maltreatment could be prevented, then there wouldn't theoretically be a need for the other two groups. However, I still think with a main focus on primary prevention, secondary and tertiary groups would still be needed.
