my study

I would like to conduct a study on adopted children. In this study I would like to look at differences between children from an adopted family and children from their biological family. It would be interesting for me to see if there were any differences or issues from the child that was adopted rather than from their biological family. My hypothesis in the study is that there could be more issues with adopted child than the non adopted child. I think a child from an adopted family would have more issues with trust and possibly identity. I think a child from an adopted family would have issues with their identity later in life because they may not know who their biological parents are or were and where they came from. I would also like to study the parenting styles of the adopted parents and the biological parents. In this study the independent variable would be the parents and their parenting styles. The dependent variable would be the children. In this study I would survey the parents and do longitudinal research on the children.

I think this sounds really interesting! You seem to have thought it out really well! Good job.

I think that your hypothesis would be correct.

I think your study sounds good. You might not want to focus on both the children and the parenting styles in one study because there might be too much going on. I think that studying how adoption effects children is a great topic to do research on.
