Interest of Study
I am interested in studying children who participate in sports and those who do not and how will their lives be effected my this. My hypothesis is that students who do participate within sports learn to be more outgoing and also learn discipline. I think that if children get involved in sports they will learn how to be apart of a team and learn how to make friends. This will also help them later on in life with working with co-workers at their jobs, and how to get along with others. Sports can also teach discipline to children by keeping them active and if they do something that was not nice they will learn that there will be a price to pay and that is not being able to play in that sport. As for the students who do not play a sport, their lives might be different. They will make friends but will they learn how to work as team. My research method that I would use would be the longitudinal study where I would study a group of five year old and follow them up through high school. It will be interesting to see how each student acts.

Your study sounds very interesting. Hopefully there are people out there already conducting this study or one similar to it. Our society, from pure speculation, seems to need all the help it can get and out youth is a great place to start.
Your idea is very interesting, I've often thought there is a large correlation between school activity and an outgoing personality.
I have to agree with your hypothesis. I do think that children who play sports have better social skills and also more self discipline. It might be a little hard to measure a someone's self discipline and motivation but overall I think this is an interesting topic to study.
