Assignment 10

To reduce bullying in a school I would enforce punishment on bullies. There would be no warnings or first, second, third offenses. Punishment would be administered immediately after a problem is brought to attention.
Another step for prevention could be taken with teacher and/or parent evaluations. If the teachers or parents notice behavior that is a concern, stepping in and offering the child counseling whether they are a victim or potential bully could prevent damage before it occurs.

I like your prevention strategy regarding the parents and teachers. A lot of times the teachers and parents are not invloved as much as they likely should be. Sometimes holding the teachers and or parents accountable is what is needed just as much as disciplining the child.

I agree with you punishment needs to be administered immediately afterwards. Sometimes in schools children aren’t disciplined right away and then don’t understand fully the consequences and their actions. I also agree with the child counseling. I think if there were counseling for children, it would prevent a lot of bullying. Most of the time there is bullying going on there is a problem that can be fixed to prevent the bullying in the first place.

I think you made a lot of good points. I also agree that there should be no warnings when it comes to bullying. I feel that the punishment needs to happen immediately.

I agree that we should punish the bullies. Also, I agree that the punishment should take place immidiatelly after the problem so there is no room for more damage.

I agree that we need to be holding the teachers/supervisors accountable when it comes to bullying in the schools and on the playground. Soemthing else that I also was thinkging about is bullying often starts at a young age with syblings. I think that parents should really monitor the bullying between their kids, cause they are only going to pick up on that and take it to school affecting other kids. Just a thougt.
